Starting his career in his homeland of Japan, Haruo moved to New York over a decade ago where he was famed stylist Oscar Blandi's head assistant. Perfecting his craft, Haruo relocated 5 years later to the Rita Hazan Salon.
Haruo's true passion is cutting hair, and he works with a diverse clientele. He likes to create looks that give a bit of edge, but ultimately are determined by his clients' want and needs. Sitting down and chatting with the client, Haruo determines the perfect cut that compliments his clients' personality.
Haruo has worked on numerous editorial spreads and continues to work with editors, socialites and industry people.
